Let me introduce myself..

For my first post I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself and let you all know a little bit about me, so here goes. I'm 18 years of age and love anything to do with planning and design! I guess you could say it was bred into me as I come from a line of interior designer on my mums side. I recently moved back to my home town in Western Australia after living in British Columbia, Canada for 6 years and being away from my dad and sister for the last 2. This was not a move I particularly wanted to make as Canada was the place where I really grew up. This was the place where I had milestones and good memories. I had friends, my dogs, a job, my mum and our house as far as I was concerned that was all I needed. My mum on the other hand waned to be reunited with her husband and other daughter, don't get me wrong I missed them more than words can explain but I wasn't ready to give up what I had and I most definitely wasn't ready for the decisions that would be coming my way.

 My mum and I proceeded to pack up our lives box by box until eventually there was nothing left, our house sold and we moved to a hotel where I was working to stay. By now we had re-homed our beautiful golden retriever to a loving family which was an extremely hard thing to do but it was best for her. I had my own little chihuahua who was my heart and soul and she was going to be living with a good friend of mine until I saved up the money to bring her to Australia. The day after we landed I began my job hunt, I took what little money I had and invested in a car to get me from place to place. I also began contacting companies and doing my research on bringing dogs into the country, The more I found out the less good it looked. A month down the track now and I have applied for every job out there and still no luck, my car broke and is very expensive to fix, I have little to no friends here and I recently had to make the heart wrenching decision to give up my dog. 

Although nothing seems to be working out for me right now I will not let that stop me, I plan to make Australia home to me again no matter how hard. I keep in contact with my friends from Canada and lucky for me most of them are dying to come visit as soon as they can, I plan on going to University here in the upcoming year to get my degree in design or events. For the meantime though I made this blog to share what's going on, there is going to be anything from DIY's to baking and make up on here. If you're interested feel free to stick around!
